Depending on the photography service you are seeking, attempt to be very clear in what you are looking for and what you want. Setup an initial meeting with the photographer to get a sense of how this person may or may not be a good fit. Additionally, the first meeting will assist you in helping you understand the process and offer more creative ideas to the photo shoot.
