Introduction: Hello! My name is Erin Johnston, and I am a licensed cosmetologist residing in the city of Orange, CA. I can provide hair services such as, but are not limited to, cutting, styling and coloring. My color experiences includes Aveda, Schwarzkopf, Goldwell, Wella, Matrix and all semi-permanent lines (ie. Punky, Manic Panic, Special FX). My foundational training was at the Cinta Aveda Institute in San Francisco. My makeup services range from beauty to SFX. I have done makeup for many events such as weddings, prom, photo shoots, dance performances, local films, theater, face painting for events and runway expositions. My work has been published by: Photo Vogue Italia Cosmo POPSUGAR F Magazine Rarefied Light If you are looking for beauty makeup, (ie. wedding, special event, photo shoots) I do require that you have your own makeup ready and available - specifically your foundation and face makeup. This is to ensure that there are no allergic reactions, and that your coverage is a perfect match to your skin. I do not airbrush. Erin is amazing! I went to high school with her and she has always shown amazing talent. She cut my hair while still in beautician school, and I usually go there because it's sometimes cheaper. I don't normally ask for anything specific, but she gave me one of the best hair cuts I could've asked for. She was welcoming, warm, and made me feel comfortable. I'm used to haircuts where I don't talk at all, but this wasn't the case this time. She made me feel like she legitimately cared about how I was doing. I'd always go back to Erin if I could, but sadly I don't live near here anymore. She is maybe a few hours away but I don't think that would stop me from driving up to get a cut from her. You won't be disappointed by her work!

One day while Erin was doing my hair-which is another one of her talents, I asked her about her make-up. First of all, Erin always looks beautiful, so I thought who better to ask than somebody who wears it well? I was in the military for a long time, so make-up wearing was limited. I had forgotten how to wear it, much less put it on. I had numerous eye shadows and brushes but didn't even know what the brushes were for. I scheduled my first lesson with Erin and was surprised, it wasn't just about her apply my make-up and me walking out the door looking good-she showed me then trained me how to apply the make-up myself! Yep! She would do an eye, step-by-step, then I would do the other eye. Not only did she teach me how to apply make-up but she gave me the confidence that I could! Since that first lesson, I have booked others with her. If you're looking for a down-to-earth, honest and brilliant make-up artist for make-up lessons and applications, Erin is the girl you want to go see!

Erin has been doing my hair for the last 2 1/2 years and I've been satisfied every time I see her. She does phenomenal work and I get compliments every time she works her magic on my hair and/or make up! One talented individual this one is!!

Very thoughtful and concerned for each customer. Erin takes the time to hear what you want and explains the process of what she's doing and if for some reason what you ask for won't work, she will explain why and give you alternate options.

I price my services based on product cost, time needed, and distance travelled. Often, my services are only required for one person, and in which case, my prices will be based on a price list for each requested service.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I do more beauty makeup than much else. And I enjoy it just the same as all other aspects of my career field.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I was given the opportunity to do the hair for the entire production of "Where Art Thou", an Alaska Native Arts Foundation runway event. It was very difficult and time consuming, but extremely rewarding to see my work on stage. It will be an experience I will never forget.
