I have 20+ years experience playing drums in multiple bands and musical projects as well hundreds of live shows. Ive played to numerous styles of music including Rock, Country, Blues, Folk, Metal, Punk Rock, Hip Hop, Rap and Industrial.
I teach single and double kick drumming, matchgrip stick handling and traditional grip, Flat footed and Heel-up techniques on the bass drum pedals. I also teach how to play extremely fast and how to play extremely slow with everything inbetween. I enjoy all kinds of music and enjoy teaching how to play drums for every style of music you can think of!!! I teach Counrty and Blues shuffles all the way to Blast Beats and Fast double bass drumming, So if your serious about playing drums please give me a call !!!!!!!!!!!!!
A. Drumming is a great way to relieve stress and get lots of excercise !!!!!!! Haha!!!! The more serious the drummer, the more rewarding the experience of learning how to play a drumset really is!!!!!
A. Well first of all, i would like to start by saying that anybody who enjoys the artistic and creative side of life can achieve they're greatest dreams by hardwork, persistance and most of all.. believing in themselves. And if you have ever dreamed of being a great drummer, I sincerely want to help incourage that by sharing with you what i have learned from 20 years of hands on experience playing a real, full piece drumset, live, in the studio, and practiced. Playing drums is what i love to do!! and i enjoy sharing and teaching the techniques ive learned with others!!!
A. Its really awesome and rewarding to watch a person new or experienced, young or older, to learn 1.... 2......... then 3 different drum beats and patterns that they will have for the rest of time and that they can pull out anytime in a musical situation and totally have the confidence to play it live with other musicians !!!!
A. Hardwork and hours upon hours of practice.
A. I am teaching a young drummer named Ethan, who is 12 years old and didnt know a thing about the drums or even how to play a correct drumbeat to save his life when i met him!!! Haha...However, Ethan really explained to me how much and how serious he was about learning how to play the drumset professionally, so we worked hard together for a couple months once a week for an hour a day on the kit he had, and now he can play 4 completely different drum beats!!! with 4 completely different tempos and to see him smile after all that hard work is a great feeling for the both of us!!!!!! Also my local Metal/ Rock band that i helped create in 2008 has had 3 new songs played live on 98 rock 4 sundays in a row!!!!! its an undescribably awesome and rewarding feeling to be able to hear yourself on the radio after all the hardwork put in the studio!!!!!
A. Lots of practice, live experience, studio time and true passion for the instrument will always help the serious drummer. Above all, maturity, discipline, patience and the ability to LISTEN to what other musicans have created or are playing is the key to being a respectable and great drummer.
