I am a professional drummer of 30 years who has extensive experience in live performance and studio work. I'm also a drum instructor with 15 years teaching experience with a degree in Child Development, as well as teaching privately. I teach an award winning drum line and run Coastside School of Rock in the summers. I teach all styles, Mondays to Saturdays from Rock to Jazz to Afro-Cuban to Metal. I have developed a wide variety of exercises to increase speed, relaxation and creativity on the drum set. I also have an extraordinary independence and polyrhythm curriculum. I teach all ages from 5 on up. I have worked with many of the top producers in the music industry such as Mike Clink (Guns and Roses, Megadeth, Motley Crue) Sylvia Massy (Tool, Johny Cash, Black Crows, System of a Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers), recorded at East West and NRG studios in Hollywood (Jay Baumgardner). My performance highlights include playing at The Shoreline Amphitheater, The Cow Palace, Slim's, Great American Music Hall, The Whiskey, The Roxy, The Key Club, The El Rey, etc. I am endorsed by Paiste, Promark, Aquarian, DW, Thumper Custom Drums and Coffin Case.
