The best experience with a handyman I've ever had. Mark was very efficient, honest and cordial. Although his hourly rate was on the higher end, I think it was fair given that he actually got things done in a very efficient manner compared to some others I have come across. And he happily took on additional tasks I identified while he was working on the pre-specified work items.

I was looking for a handyman to help replacing a shower trim. I got multiple quotes and they were way overpriced. I saw Mark (Davies Construction) on Thumbtack with good review so I out in a request. Mark was super responsive and let me know his rate and availability. He came in on time as scheduled. He did the work within an hour. I even asked him to help with another small project on the spot. He had no problem and finished everything for me. He is very honest with reasonable rate. Quality is good. So glad to find Mark as it's difficult to find a handyman that you can trust without ripping you off. I will highly recommend Mark.

Mark was super reliable to work with! We needed to have three small fixes at my vacant property while being remote. I was a bit hesitate to hire someone who charges by the hour first but I'm so glad that I found Mark who is honest and reliable. He got the fixes done within 20min with high quality. We were not there to supervise him so he could have taken longer and charge for more. I have recommended him to my friends and would definitely hire him again for any future jobs! Just to provide some comparisons, I got quotes from different handyman services for the same job and the estimates were all over the place, ranging from $200-800. There was even someone who visited my place to give a more accurate estimate. When he knew that I just moved away, he tried to rip me off by asking for $2000...When I countered him by saying other people quoted much lower, he dropped the price to $600 but I no longer wanted to work with a dishonest person.

Pricing is $95/hr with a $150 minimum per trip.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typical process is once the customer decides if they want to hire me, they will message me with details about the project and send pictures if possible. I will then respond and and set up a time to do the work. Thumbtack charges handymen when you first message them, regardless if you hire them, so it is appreciated if you only message if you are sure you want the work done.
