In Spanish, the word “pilas” [peelus] is used to describe someone who is a real go-getter and “on the ball”--someone who is a self-starter, energetic, and confident, and works hard to move ahead in life.

Pilas is the perfect word to describe our cooperative members--strong, active women who have taken the initiative to energetically work together to better their lives and acquire new skills and experience.
