Introduction: I work my students on a very individual level and I adapt my teaching styles to fit my student's needs. I see instant improvement with my students and over a course of 4-6 months, generally I see a dramatic improvement in their singing ability. I love seeing progress with my students and as they become more confident they truly find "their voice". It's very exciting to also see them become their own musician. I have seen my students success in musical theatre, acapella groups, choirs, and in their own bands. I love it!

Besides having the most diverse repertoire of any voice teacher I've worked with, Spencer creates a completely warm and welcoming environment. As well as being staying updated with the musical theater scene, Spencer provides incredibly detailed and specific adjustments when working on songs and voice. He's a great voice teacher and well worth whatever price he charges!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

For a 45-minute lesson, my price is $80.00.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

My vocal students have a variety of goals: 1. Some students are working toward getting into college. I can help them find great audition material and teach them how to impress at their audition. 2. Some students are focused mainly on getting better so they can do musical theatre, sing in a band, or karaoke night. 3. I work with a lot of individuals who need to prepare something for an audition. I help them with their song cuts, what to tell the pianist, and making sure they sound great! I focus on technique, expression, and communication. These things will help sell any audition, or performance!

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

My voice student, Maya, was just accepted into Carnagie-Mellon in Musical Theatre. C-M is one of the top #3 musical theatre colleges in the country. She also won BEST ACTRESS in the Bay Area High School Musical Theatre Awards, and went on to the National High School Musical Theatre Award where she won "Best Ensemble Member" - one of five national awards.
