• Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  A. When commissioning an artist to draw or paint something, be expected to pay a portion in advance so that the artist can buy art materials required to make your project.

• Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

  A. Hire an artist based on their style. If you ask them to delve away from their natural style of art, then expect to pay more because it will take more effort and time to complete the project.

• Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

  A. Don't be scared to ask about contracts. Contracts not only help you feel safe about the ownership of the art, but also makes the artist feel that you are serious about wanting them to complete the project.

• Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

  A. Know:
  - how large of an image they want
  - do they want it digital, traditional, or both
  - black & white or colored
