FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely. The International Society of Arboriculture requires re-certification every three years. Recertification requires a certain number of continuing education units. I frequent attend seminars and conferences designed to update the latest technologies and research and provide continuing education units for recertification. I also read various industry publications to keep me current as well.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved trees. In college I worked as an environmentalist, and was fiercely protective of old growth redwood groves. After college, I joined the tree industry as a logger in Colorado. As a professional consulting arborist I have found a balance between those two ends of this spectrum.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Oak tree reports, On-site consultations. Tree Inventories with Long-Term Maintenance Plans.
