Introduction: I teach the vocal power method of singing, which empowers students to use their voices as instruments. Let your voice soar! We work at your level to bring your technique up to your standards, and then to infuse your technique and skill, with all the talent you may not even know you possess! Any type of singing is accessible and attainable with the vocal power method. Discounts are given to children and seniors. Hourly, 45-minute and 30-minute lessons are available.

Gretchen is a fantastic voice teacher who, while she brings a great deal of experience to the table, takes a warm and personal approach to each of her students. She keeps her students skills, aspirations and interests top of mind. Gretchen is not only superb at teaching the technical aspects of voice, she also helps her students deal with the complicated and emotional aspects of musical theater. She is supportive and really connects with students of all ages. My daughter took periodic voice lessons with Gretchen for over the course of 9 months to help prepare for a role in a high school musical, and I could easily hear the difference in her singing ability. In addition, I know several of her other students who also rave about their experiences with Gretchen. She really knows her stuff!

Gretchen is a wonderful vocal coach and I am so happy I found her! In the local Temecula/Murrieta area there is a tiny selection of voice coaches to choose from, so I was thrilled when I found Gretchen on Thumbtack! She teaches locally from the comfort of her home and is truly dedicated to listening to your goals and helping you achieve them. When I first met Gretchen, I had not sung in 15 years and desperately wanted to sing again--I was unsure my voice could still produce the sound I had as a young girl, but just because I was out of tune and very out of shape, did not mean it was gone! Gretchen really understood my desire to exercise my voice and need to re-learn so many of the basics I had forgotten; what I love is that her talent, knowledge, and experience have helped me to improve every lesson because she focuses on technique. One of my favorite things about Gretchen is her honesty and communication throughout the lesson—she has a fantastic ear and gives valuable feedback. She is also very patient for those (like myself) who strive for perfection with every note; I can always trust and depend on Gretchen to tell me if I hit the note or not and help me if I have trouble. I have had many voice teachers and not everyone does this, so it’s a big deal! Some get impatient because they are clock watchers and others can be unkind and overly critical, but NOT Gretchen. She is kind and for any areas where you do struggle, she simply acknowledges them as areas to dedicate a little more time to. Easy as that. My experience with Gretchen has been a blessing—she is genuine, fun, flexible and at the end of every lesson, I am sad it is over! If you are looking for someone who will take your singing goals as seriously as you do, then Gretchen is a match for you. Thank you, Gretchen!
