Introduction: Welcome! No Limits Personal Fitness is operated by Gabe Reyes, a nationally certified personal trainer and certified Performance Enhancement Specialist. Personally, I have serviced 3,000+ sessions and have clients from all walks of life. I am far from limited in whom I am able to train. I specialize in clients with "special conditions", this ranges from diabetes to cancer, arthritis to high blood pressure. Also, I hold a PES (Performance Enhancement Specialist) credential through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. This credential is what approximately 93 percent of athletic trainers in the NBA hold--this enables me to greatly assist athletes and aspiring ones, as well. The majority of my training takes place right in your own home. No wasting gas driving to the gym, no spending money on a pricey gym membership, and no spending money on fitness equipment. All necessary equipment is brought to your house each session, so there will be no fitness clutter taking up room in your house. I love what I do and take great pride in my profession. I am currently accepting in-home training clients only.
My Philosophy: I take a science-based approach to fitness. There are so many trainers out there that train their clients how they train themselves, or they base their workouts off of what the latest fitness magazine says. Do you really want to pay for that? Most trainers take the "personal" out of "personal training" and that's a shame. I design your program based on a myriad of your personal characteristics. I take into account everything from your age to your fitness level, your level of enthusiasm to your past experiences, when developing your program. When you train with me you don't get randomized workouts, you get a personalized program. I make sure my clients are doing the correct exercises at the the correct time and that they reach their goals both safely and punctually. No fad workouts, no drill sergeant mentality, just the right program JUST for you.
People and areas: I serve No Limits is transforming lives in Concord, Antioch, Pittsburg, Brentwood, Oakley, Walnut Creek, Rio Vista, Benicia, Fremont and growing. Even if your city or location is not listed I will gladly accommodate you and work alongside you. There is no single, particular client-type that I train, since my certifications allow me to confidently and effectively serve clients from all ages and fitness levels. I work with track and field athletes on a regular basis and assist many aspiring athletes from high school to the collegiate level. In the past I have trained professional formula one race car drivers from the Mazda Racing Group and have teamed up with numerous former type 2 diabetics and allowed them to free themselves of the condition--this shows the versatility and effectiveness of a science-based approach to fitness. Also, on a daily basis I work with weight-loss and injury rehab programs. On average, I perform 4 weight-loss sessions each day and 2 injury rehab sessions, as well.

As a busy professional with long commutes, the little time that is left is precious to me. When we found NLPF on craigslist, it seemed too good to be true: in-home personal training for less than I had paid for in-gym training in the past? Fast-forward a year and a half, and I still train with NLPF 3-times per week. It has gone from a "nice-to-have" to a "can't live without". Some reasons why: finally strengthening my chest in spite of old shoulder injury, steady strength gain overall, flexibility improvement, better endurance, great personable trainers, diet and supplement help, flexible scheduling, can train multiple people simultaneously (with differing goals and workouts)... all for about half what I used to pay for premium in-gym training. Give NLPF a try and you won't be disappointed.

One and a half years ago I found myself in a place I thought I would never be: 40 pounds over weight and very discouraged. I had spent the previous year gaining and loosing the same 5 pounds. At this time I received a gift of Personal Training with Gabe from my daughter. I was excited, even filled with hope but feeling very self conscience and physically unsure of myself. Immediately Gabe was reassuring and encouraging. As we trained my self conscienceness turned into a strong drive to succeed at loosing weight and gaining strength. Because of training with Gabe I have accomplished both. I have lost 33 pounds and gained a lot of muscle strength which has produced confidence. Last Spring Gabe asked me if I would like to train to run a 5k. He said I was ready if I wanted to try it. His suggestion got me to "think outside of my box" and I said yes. And I did it, I ran my first 5K at age 52. Something I thought I could never do. The whole experience was very freeing and taught me much.
I love training. It keeps me disciplined and motivated. And I trust Gabe to have my best interest in mind. My next goal is to lose 10 more pounds while continuing to build strength. I am going to climb Mt. Shasta this Summer. I know Gabe will help me accomplish these new goals through training, nutrition counseling and supplement suggestions.

I was very happy with my trainer Gabe! He was personable, and very knowledgeable. I felt comfortable; especially because he came to my house which made my experience better. Gabe was my trainer for 30 days and would definitely use him again in the future. Thank you for getting me excited to work out not dreading it.

NLPF has really helped me gain confidence in myself and gave me serious motivation to reach for my weight-loss goals. With his "push-but-not-shove" outlook, Gabe inspired me and helped me believe I CAN achieve my goals. I lost 15 lbs of fat and I have serious muscles now! (ladies, they are not manly muscles) I also learned a tremendous amount about my body, muscle building, proper lifting techniques, the importance of cardio and much more.

When I first contacted Gabe, I was skeptical at best. I'd seen doctor after doctor to try and deal with my extensive injuries with almost no results. But, I figured I didn't have much to lose and the consultation was free. As far as my physical health and fitness, training with No Limits may be the best decision I have ever made. Within weeks I was seeing results and meeting my goals.. After two months, much of my chronic pain is gone and I have recovered more mobility and strength than I thought possible. I received better, more personal, and more comfortable care from Gabe than from the many doctors, specialists, physical therapists, and surgeons that I have seen over the past three years. My experience with No Limits Personal Fitness has been nothing short of fantastic. I would highly recommend Gabe to anyone.

A. My most common type of client program is a corrective exercise program. Corrective exercise focuses on realigning the body and overcoming muscular imbalances caused by day to day life, overuse, and sometimes under use, too.
A. When looking to hire a personal trainer, a customer should consider a few things. First, what certifications does the trainer hold. Second, for how long has this trainer been active within the fitness field. Thirdly, what types of clients has he/she worked with in the past, and can you contact them to hear about their experiences.
A. For an aspiring personal trainer, I would highly recommend contacting a currently successful trainer and requesting that you shadow them for a week or two. Gain a feel for their schedule, client interaction, and business savvy. By watching a professional at work, you can then have a standard from which to model yourself.
