Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. The only thing that all my parties have in common, is that no two parties are the same! There are parties with 2 children, parties with 100 children, birthday parties, new baby parties, fairs, school events, corporate events, quiet shy groups, loud and boisterous groups, all girl parties, all boy parties, all toddlers, pre-teens, 0-12 year olds--an infinite amount of combinations of ages, personalities, cultures, event types, etc. No two parties are the same, which is why we are such well-rounded performers. We are prepared for and open to anything.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Always be sure to see a picture of the costume and performer who will be coming to YOUR party to guarantee that they meet your expectations. A lot of party companies tend to keep photos of entertainers that are no longer part of their company, or costumes that are not necessarily theirs, for show purposes on their website.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Yes--you definitely get what you pay for! Often the really expensive party companies are because their costumes are custom-made, their face painting is professional airbrush, etc. I'd say middle range is good to go for, as kids often are thrilled with simple face painting and a great costume does not have to be custom made. But beware the companies that offer the "lowest price in town"--they often also offer the cheapest quality around.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Everything. I love kids, and I love to perform, so this is the perfect combination. I love when children still believe in the magic of fairy tale characters, and magic tricks, and it is a true blessing that I get to play a real part in that belief as my profession every day. Hearing a little girl or boy whisper to their mom, "That's the REAL Cinderella!!!!!"--just completely makes my day. And there is nothing better than being in front of a crowd of hyper, loud, excited children during a magic show, feeding off of their energy as they feed off mine. I love it!
