Most work is on a bid basis. Troubleshooting is done hourly.
A. A few years ago, we spent most of our time on new job sites building homes. Since the economic downturn, more remodels, full house rewires, service panel changes & troubleshooting are coming along.
We are also installing solar systems.
I've always been happy to help customers design lighting systems.
A. The first three words to remember are: Reviews, Reviews, Reviews. If multiple other people a happy, they must be doing something right.
Check the contractor's license through the CSLB website, along with liability and auto insurance. If workers other than the contractor are involved, be sure they have current Worker's Comp. insurance.
You can ask the contractor for an insurance cert., they should be happy to provide one that has all of this information.
A. It's really simple, we always think of the customer's home or place of work as if it were our own and provide service that way.
I'm not interested in taking the customer's money without doing a superior job.
A. I enjoy meeting and working with new people and going into new situations. Although we have a huge amount of experience that we bring to each job, every job is a little different and allows us to learn something new.
We can take this learning to the next job and be even better.
A. During the design/bidding phase of a project, many code requirement questions are raised. I answer each one carefully and explain that the electrical code was written for fire prevention and should be followed.
As the crews work on a job, many "can I" questions come along as the customer thinks of new items to add or remove from the contract. The normal answer is "sure" unless code violations are involved.
