Kai Streets welcomes you to an urban style of creating images known to me as Silence...amongst the beautiful sunsets, white sand beaches, magnificent skies, extravagant flowers, full moons, landscapes of mountains and rivers, lies a "complete silence". Neglected tunnels, urban infrastructures, bridges, architecture, ruins, under paths, freeways, urban fragments, decay, rust, city streets and abandonment, all are unappreciated, ignored and neglected. My photographic vision is to give this "silence" a voice, and let the image speak as loud as it needs too! Creating images is my purest form of self-expression. I see it as a true art form and have the utmost respect for its history and growth. I started off in the digital world of photography, then transitioned to the film world. This is pretty backwards for most photographers, but there is a method to this madness. In order to understand where photography was going, I had to understand it in the present. But in order for me to progress, I had to develop a strong understanding and knowledge of the rich history and culture of photography through film. This is where I learned composition, framing, the technical aspects, the relationship between ISO, shutter speed, and Aperture, etc. I then began to realize that I have the ability to direct the viewers eyes to what, when, and where I want them to look. Once I saw it in its essence, film photography, and motions pictures became the backbone of my growth and development into a Fine-Art Image and Film Maker.
