FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system isn't complicated. Depending on the distance I have to travel, most of my jobs start at $275 and go DOWN from there. That price includes a rehearsal which I strongly encourage. A rehearsal cuts down on confusion and stress in the wedding party. I give discounts based on whether someone is in the military, law enforcement, public safety, fire department or a public service occupation. These people are often asked to put their lives on the line, help with medical care or meet some other crucial need. It is my honor to offer them a discount.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
It may sound silly but I read all kinds of bridal magazines, watch any wedding (real or otherwise) on TV, consult books, LISTEN AND BRAINSTORM with my couple. i think its most important that I keep an open mind about doing things in a new way or adding a new ceremony. If I find something new, I try to give it my signature. I don't want to become stale.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I often conduct traditional ceremonies which begin with a prayer by me. I also conduct ceremonies with no religious overtones. This is up to the bride and groom. I've written and conducted ceremonies in which the words, "Wedding, husband and wife", weren't used. This was at the bride and grooms request. It made stretch but I still created a personal ceremony which touched their hearts and was clearly written for them. Most people want to add a special touch such as the Sand Ceremony, etc. I carefully consult with the bride and groom to see if we can make this element uniquely their own. I enjoy making sure that every element of my work reflects the bride and groom's wishes and enhances their day.
