A. The experience of the professional is always important. Also ask to see a portfolio of previous work and check out the website, facebook and google plus pages to get more info.
A. FlorUnique gives exceptional attention to every detail. We devote our attention to only one event per day and if it is a big event, only one event a weekend. Since we are not an everyday florist we use all the flowers that we bought for the wedding to decorate the event. So you always get a little extra.
A. To stand back and see all the decor from the event coming together. The most beautiful picture is when everything is in place and you see your happy bride walking down the aisle. Very satisfying!

A. When I came with my husband to the US I did not have a green card and started doing classes to keep me busy. I got hooked on the flower classes and started out by doing flowers for a friend's wedding. After working a few years in a flower shop I decided to started my own bussiness.
A. I continue seminars and workshops at the Southern California School for Floral Design to stay up to date with the newest trends. I also do tons of online webinars (The Knot, etc) and tons of research.
A. Right now the trends in wedding flowers is still the vintage and travel theme. More organic and interesting elements are used in the bouquets and with the trend of "green weddings" we expect more natural (flower pods, succulents) and different accessories (feathers etc)
A. Be prepare to work long hours and remember it is hard work but very satisfying.
A. Flexibility. If you want to be a great designer you have to adopt to changes all the time since an event never goes a 100% according to plan.
