- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Daily Walks We come to your home and take your dog for a walk. Water bowls are refilled (if necessary) prior to our departure. Please note that our rates are based on time, not on number of pets. We do not charge additional for extra pets. Walk Rates 15 min - $15.00 30 min - $18.00 45 min - $23.00 60 min - $30.00 In-Home Sitting When youre away for business or vacation, set your mind at ease knowing that your pet is staying in the comfort of his or her own home. Walks are included for dogs. Well be there to clean litterboxes, take in your mail, water your plants, and make sure your home is secure. In-Home Visit Rates: 15 min - $15.00 30 min - $18.00 45 min - $23.00 60 min - $30.00 Ancillary Services- free The following services are included with any service from Animal House: Bring in your mail and/or paper Water plants Turn on/off lights Adjust window coverings Administer medications Lots of loving care! Overnight Stays- $65.00/night Well come to your home and stay with your pet(s) for the duration of the evening, keeping them company while youre away. Your home is immediately more secure when someone is on the premises. Each overnight stay is at least twelve hours in duration. Pet Taxi- call for quote If you are unable to get your furry friend to where he or she needs to go, give us a call and well come pick him or her up and deliver to your specified destination. Holiday Visits- No additional charge We believe in building long-lasting relationships with clients, and charging more for busy times of the year doesnt fit with that goal. No matter what dates you need coverage for, we will do our best to give you excellent service on your time frame.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of A Pets World Academy, a course designed and taught by other professional pet sitters who strive for excellence in the field of Professional Pet Sitting. Additionally, our sitters and walkers are insured and bonded. So, while your pets are under our care, you can rest easy knowing that we will provide the same individualized, loving care you would give them yourself.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up in small town Pennsylvania surrounded by animals my entire life. From the day I was born, I've always had pets of one kind or another- dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, guinea pigs, you name it! After graduating from York College of Pennsylvania with degrees in Computer Information Systems and Business Management, I entered the corporate world and spent eight years working for an Internet service provider to businesses. After working in the corporate world for eight years, I decided to apply my business knowledge on a new endeavor- one that would make me happy and at the same time provide a valuable service to other pet owners. I started Animal House in an effort to turn my love for animals into a profession, and profession is the key word. I strive to treat every pet sit and dog walk with the highest level of professionalism. As pet owners, we should not settle for anything less when it comes to the care of our beloved animals.
