I've worked with Jason the guitarist, Jason the engineer and Jason the tech. I'd highly recommend him in any of these disciplines but I'll address the technician. I'm a bass player and I play vintage gear exclusively. Jason really understands the technical aspects of the gear I use. More importantly, he knows sound and how to get it. Top that off with truly honest and fair business dealings and there's no reason to take your gear to anyone else.

I wouldn't let anyone else work on my guitars and amps. He's a genius. He made me two hand built amps, that are amazing.

Jason came recomended. Just simple bass repair (no one would be getting rich off of me) but he still treated it with priority. Repair was great and a low price. You can tell he just digs talking/doing music and gear. Nice to see someone love what they do.

Jason was wonderful. We showed up late and he didn't give us a hard time. He has a nice little studio that beats the heck out of the way over priced Hollywood studios. Better price. Quality audio. Nice guy. I'd recommend him highly.

Jason is one of the most versatile and talented folks on the planet.

    * Incredibly accomplished musician (pick an instrument - this guy plays em' all)

    * Tenacious equipment tech (this guy can fix/build anything - no joke)

    * Seasoned studio engineer and producer with many professional touring and album credits and has a great project studio.

He's an all around nice guy who's an absolute pleasure to work with. Ring him up and let Guitar Arts take your gear, talent or album to the next level.

Jason is certainly one of the best guitarists I've ever had the honor to work with, if not THE BEST! On top of that, he's very easy to work with.

Very Sincerely, Rob Smith - Serious Drummer/vocalist

Jason is the greatest teacher I have ever had. He is very very patient, and understands that we all had to start somewhere. The best quality is his honesty. One of the most honest guys I have ever known. A great family man, and he reeally wants you to succeed in whatever you are trying to accomplish. He even played guitar with me at my wedding as I performed a song for my wife. It was beautiful, and I have nothing but good things to say about Jason.

I recently took in my Peavey Classic 20 to Guitar Arts Studios, Lessons & Repairs because it had a rattling noise.
Jason not only solved the problem, he improved the overall sound of the amp, installing some great new tubes.
I highly recommend his services to anyone who needs a very professional and quick-turnaround job at a competitive price.

The best studio on the planet. The vibe is happenin', J is a great teacher, guitar player, producer and a very humble guy. I've tracked several records in his studio and always feel comfortable laying down tracks and getting the magic on tape. : ) Check out Guitar Arts Studios for all your needs. JB

Jason does my amps for me. After searching for a quality tech for a long time, I'm so glad I finally found Jason. Super high quality work at really good prices. I've turned all my friends unto him and they love him too. Jason's the man! and he's a great guitarist, so he understands what we're searching for.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Hiring a musician, producer, engineer, instructor, repair tech, etc. is all about chemistry and finding the right fit for you. I am an easy going, honest, family oriented person who tries each day to live by the "golden rule" and my labors have been fruitful because of it. I go above and beyond for my clients and always handle my business with the same kind of integrity I expect when I hire someone for a job.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I am not the least expensive facility but I do typically charge less than most but work harder than others in my field. I always try to keep prices affordable and am more concerned with establishing relationships and having long term customers rather than big short term gains. Typical recording service is $35/hr and lessons are $50 per hour with half hour slots available. I also offer a discount for 2 months of lessons purchased in advance and lesson or studio time gift certificates are available. Reputation is everything to me and if I have to work a little harder I am willing to do so to insure the quality of my work and the integrity of my reputation.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love people! I love the creative process! I love helping others reach their creative potential. I enjoy teaching and I also really enjoy the art of recording music. When you hear that playback and your dream has become a reality...well what a privilege it is to be a part of that and to help make that happen!

I also thoroughly enjoy taking a piece of equipment that is broken, not functioning properly or in dire need of restoration and making it shine once again! Very satisfying work.
