Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Whenever getting bids from contractors, it is important to do some background information on the company first. You can go to the CSLB website and check the companies license information to make sure that it is valid, and they have necessary insurance to perform the work. Next its finding the contractor who fits your budget, and expectations.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Planning ahead is always better. If you know you need a roof repair or a re-roof, get your estimates earlier rather than later. Often times prices for roofs jump during the rainy season. It is always advised to get at least two estimates before making a decision. Don't let a small roof leak become a bigger problem.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. As always background information is critical. Ask your contractors to give you references of previous jobs of similar type. If they cannot do that then more than likely they have not fullfilled the clients expectations, or have never done a job of that scope.
