Emily has helped me with editing tips and corrections on various shorts works I have written. Even some of the poetry I submitted to her has been greatly improved with her ideas and suggestions. I highly recommend her as an editor and someone who can help with various kinds of material promptly, clearly, and professionally.

Emily is a concienscious, professional, and extremely responsive editor. She is always available and even when she thought she was not going to be available for a while due to potential jury duty, she lined up a temporary substitute editor for us, just in case! I would not hestitate to recommend Emily to anyone for any editing project. She is very fast and efficient. Her work is exemplary. Excellent customer service!

If you would like a meticulous analysis of both grammar and content, Emily does an exquisite job of providing it. She has edited numerous technical theological papers for me, and I have found her editing more than satisfactory. Her skills not only extend into the religious/theological world, but she has experience with some psychological works I have written as well. She was able to not only analyze syntax and sentence structure, but offer helpful feedback on how coherent my content was. I highly recommend her as a thoughtful and fastidious editor.

I worked with Emily Kazmierski for 3 years. We have both grown in the field of editing. She is an accomplished editor and writer. In fact, she trained me and was very patient and knowledgeable. She possesses all the techniques and skills for editing and writing, and her turnaround time is outstanding. Her attention to detail (especially comma splices) is exceptional, and her ability to stay organized is excellent. Emily is a true talent in the field of editing and writing, and anyone who has worked with her knows of her gifts. She brings a great deal to the table, and I believe that she is the finest editor and writer around.

I've been a co-worker with Emily at a distance learning school and an online magazine. I've witnessed firsthand what she can accomplish as a writer and editor for a variety of audiences. She has an expert grasp of editorial fundamentals and is extremely detail-oriented. You can be rest assured that any content she edits or creates will be of high quality.

Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. When a writer is looking for an editor to collaborate with on any type of written material, the writer should look for an editor who will give the amount of feedback the writer needs and wants. For example, the writer may need someone to do a basic proofread of the material, or he or she may want someone to help with content organization, flow, and more in depth editing.
I always ask my clients before I begin working how much feedback they want, and I give them exactly what they ask for, to the best of my ability.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. The best editors take their clients words and enhance them instead of rewriting. That is what I try to do for my clients.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. An editor may take an author's words and change them so much that the author doesn't recognize his or her work any longer. I try not to do that, because I recognize that a writer has spent many hours perfecting content before sending it to me.
Instead of changing an author's work, I try to make small changes to polish it so that the author's hard work shines through and my added touches are invisible.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I like the opportunities I get to edit different types of materials - articles, scholarly papers, course materials, text books, and fiction.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Many people ask me why I like editing. My answer is that I have the opportunity to read many different types of materials on a vast array of subjects. In this way I am always learning and being challenged. This makes my job stimulating.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. I enjoy editing different materials because this variety challenges me to constantly improve my editing skills. Editing different types of materials also allows me to learn about many different fields, from real estate, to computer technology, to history, and more.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I have always loved reading, and I have always loved editing. I remember playing an educational computer game as a child and finding a misspelled word. I was so excited. When it was time for me to pick a major in college, English and Creative Writing were the only topics that truly interested me so that is the path I chose. As I have grown as an editor, I find that I feel very satisfied when I can help writers channel their thoughts into written content that speaks to the reader.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I am a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association because I want to continually improve my editing and writing skills. I often read materials they provide regarding my field. I also take the time to read material written by good writers so that I can learn about various writing styles, improve my vocabulary, and stay current in my knowledge of the written word.
