FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My base price is $30 for a 30 minute lesson. Prices go up $10 for every additional 15 minute slot (I.e. 45 minutes costs $40, 60 minutes costs $50). Traveling prices are set at $0.50 per mile from the previous location. I will always schedule you at the most convenient spot that will save time and money. Materials such as books and flashcards are not included in tuition.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing we would do is set up a time to meet! While messaging or talking/calling, you can ask any questions you may have and set a date for your first lesson. Your first lesson is free! In this lesson, I get to know more about you, what you love about music and what music you love, I assess your musical knowledge, and figure out how to serve you better. We discuss goals, materials, plans, and tuition prices. When we meet for your second lesson, we really get started by learning technique, musicality, and music theory. As we go from lesson to lesson, we will keep building repertoire, musical knowledge, and setting new goals!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 17 years of experience in music performance and leadership. My performance experience ranges from opera, musical theater, private weddings and parties, fundraiser concerts, and open mics. I have a degree in Music from La Sierra University. I have trained and taken voice lessons from many various teachers for 15 years and counting! My other qualifications in education include early childhood units, boundary training certification, and classroom teaching experience.
