Miss Elizabeth Chan was my first voice teacher and I must say that she knows whats she is doing. Not only did she know the material she taught she could also replicate it with her own voice. Even teaching male voice she excelled at diagnosing and perfecting my technique. In the 5 months she has worked with me I have recived many compliments on how much better my voice sounded. If you are looking to step up your voice game, look no further than Elizabeth Chan!

Hello Timothy! I am sorry you experienced this inconvenience. It seems like there may have been either a miscommunication from my page or an error with Thumbtack's system. For further clarification, my current service area is within a 25-mile-radius from Modesto, California. I also participate in a private studio in Lodi, California. I hope that helps and please feel free to contact me if there are any questions regarding my services. I am always happy to answer and respond promptly. -Elizabeth

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My base price is $30 for a 30 minute lesson. Prices go up $10 for every additional 15 minute slot (I.e. 45 minutes costs $40, 60 minutes costs $50). Traveling prices are set at $0.50 per mile from the previous location. I will always schedule you at the most convenient spot that will save time and money. Materials such as books and flashcards are not included in tuition.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The first thing we would do is set up a time to meet! While messaging or talking/calling, you can ask any questions you may have and set a date for your first lesson. Your first lesson is free! In this lesson, I get to know more about you, what you love about music and what music you love, I assess your musical knowledge, and figure out how to serve you better. We discuss goals, materials, plans, and tuition prices. When we meet for your second lesson, we really get started by learning technique, musicality, and music theory. As we go from lesson to lesson, we will keep building repertoire, musical knowledge, and setting new goals!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have 17 years of experience in music performance and leadership. My performance experience ranges from opera, musical theater, private weddings and parties, fundraiser concerts, and open mics. I have a degree in Music from La Sierra University. I have trained and taken voice lessons from many various teachers for 15 years and counting! My other qualifications in education include early childhood units, boundary training certification, and classroom teaching experience.
