FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We price everything custom to the project. There are so many different situations that its hard to set a square foot price. Man factor is labor. You must know perfectly how long your crew or employee can finish. That's really were the problems start. Material is easy to figure out.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We stay up on the latest OSHA regulations and rules and the latest tools and products.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was forced. haha My grandfather was a paperhanger. I have 2 uncles who didn't want nothing to do with it. I was next in line. Started helping my grandfather on jobs, cutting and pasting wallpaper for some extra cash. Started getting faster so he had me hanging. He saw I took to it so he taught me everything. Soon, I was hanging and dealing with customers. That's when it clicked and I really felt this is what I will do for a living. I added painting to our services and took over the whole company at age 21 changing the name to Tri County Painting. My grandfather still asks if Im hanging wallpaper and painting he is 83 yeas old now. Prices have changed but the old style is still there and always will be.
