I just received a bid request for Ken Forsythe asking what I charge for management services he was "pretending" (Wink Wink) to be a home owner in need of management services. I find this strategy to be most interesting, you feel the only way you can get ahead of your competitors is to have them pay for the opportunity to tell you their pricing. Professionals pay for the opportunity to use this service and meet new clients. Albeit inventive with this strategy you are wasting our time and our money. Your service should be able to stand up on its own you shouldn't need to resort to lying and deceit to get the jump on your competitors.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

My advice would be to check the companies eviction rate. Ask how many evictions they do in a year. Ours is very low because we have a very good tenant screening process and we make sure the tenants understand their responsibilities.
