Eric Michael Bellah
Private Piano instructor
Traditional Piano Lessons offered for children and adults, ages five and up. Jazz Piano and accompaniment training offered to students with the necessary skills. Lessons will be held weekly for one half hour, forty-five minutes, or one hour (depending on the students age and skill level). Tuition rate is 50 dollars per hour of instruction, or 100 dollars per month for one half hour lesson per week. Located in the heart of Roseville, at Pleasant Grove and Foothills Blvd.
All students will receive the traditional training in how to play (including jazz students), balanced with technique, rhythm studies, theory, ear training, sight reading, and history, giving every student a solid, well rounded, and thorough musical education. However, all lessons will be individually tailored to keep students interested in what they are, or will be learning (via familiar tunes thrown in, favorite songs, introduction to jazz, and more), while still assuring the student's mastery of all necessary concepts and techniques.
The goal of this studio is to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a career in music. Most students will not take that path, however, with that goal in mind, they will learn to be thoughtful, intelligent, artistic young musicians. In addition, and more importantly, they will, over time, become self-sufficient learners, which will allow them to assimilate music on their own, go beyond the weekly assignments, and be able to explore and appreciate music for the rest of their lives, even after they stop lessons.
Benefits of Music Education:

*Music study develops attention span and concentration level.
*Music study builds self-esteem and develops initiative
*Confirmed by research findings conducted by Dr. Frances Rausher of the University of Wisconsin and Dr. *Gordon Shaw of the University of California*
*In addition, I have found that putting a child into piano lessons provides them with the beginnings of a viable trade. For example, I was able to start teaching and accompanying in high school , was able to augment my income during college, and eventually, before obtaining a degree, was able to fully support myself as a musician.
“My son Will has enjoyed taking piano lessons with Eric for over 3 years. Eric sets the right pace to keep it both enjoyable and challenging. Will really enjoys showing off his hard earned piano skills. Additionally, the chairs in the waiting area are very very comfortable.”

"Mr. Bellah is an outstanding musical influence for my 10yr old son. We've been attending lessons for a few years now, and we are inspired weekly to return. I have enjoyed watching (and listening) to both Eric's coaching and my son's performance & certification results. Eric has made learning to play the piano easy and fun!"
-D. Mecklenburg- Parent
"My daughter had a previous teacher and was not enjoying lessons. After just one lesson, Eric as able to explain what she wasn't getting and make lessons fun. Her learning pace has improved dramatically."
