Leene Spiritdancer (aka Watter FreeSpirit) has been studying dance for over 20 years. In addition to Belly dance, she has studied and practiced other forms of dance such as classical ballet, lyrical, modern, jazz, K.R.U.M.P., breaking, hip-hop, tap percussion, West African, Afro-Haitian, Caribbean, hula, native American tribal, Ballet Folklorico, and tarantella, to name a few.
Aside from her callinetic, Egyptian, cabaret, and tribal fusion belly dance training, the divine gift of her own unique form of free-spirit fusion belly dance is a testament to this diverse dance background. Her innate talent and the training of her talented mentors have given her a great mode of employ concerning dance and movement.
Leene works independently as a professional belly dancer, choreographer, and Certified Instructor in and around the Sacramento and Bay area. Leene provides quality instruction in private and group classes and teaches workshops when requested. She is a certified professional artist/instructor for an exclusive pool of dance artists for the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission.

As a dancer myself and a producer of belly dance shows, I have had the pleasure of working with many belly dancers. I have always said, jokingly of course, that working with dancers is like herding cats.
I never had that feeling when it came to working with Watter FreeSpririt.
She asked lots of great questions, was well organized and early for the show... Ready to go when she walked in the door.
Courteous to fellow dancer and audience members alike.

Watter is a great belly dancer, teacher, and great choreographer. As an instructor and professional belly dancer myself, I enjoy watching the way she teaches her classes. I love her passion and energy in each type of class that she teaches. I admire her for following her dreams and dedicating her whole life to that which has always been her dream, being a great teacher and Professional Belly Dancer.
