Have you ever been told "Your laptops is dead, and there's nothing we can do for it"? Well many technicians and service providers today only have enough knowledge to repair computers at the component level, meaning that if a part has failed, they will simply replace it.

We also can fix other common issues such as loose or broken hinges, bent or broken power plugs and other connection ports, cracked screens, distorted video issues, or even problems where the laptop will not boot at all!

We offer diagnostics completely free of charge, so that you know exactly what you will be paying for before we start working, and if you decide the laptop isn't worth repairing, we may just buy it off you!

We guarantee our work and have many years of experience in such repairs, and it is our highest goal to make your day a better one. So, give us a call today, and let us bring your laptop back to life!

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. HP DV9000, DV6000, and DV2000 series laptops have a known issue with their video chipsets failing. I can fix these without needing to replace the motherboard at all. This is cheaper and much faster than waiting for a replacement to come in from HP.

Another common repair for laptops is repairing or replacing the DC jack for the power plug. It's a simple repair in most cases and can be turned around same day

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Most companies and technicians will only replace defective components with new ones that have the same flaws. We can repair issues with certain components and in many cases modify them to forestall further issues in the future

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Solving problems most other people cannot do without the original manufacturing equipment or by working for a manufacturer's refurbishment team. I enjoy knowing that the quality of service and work I provide is on par with manufacturer certified companies, and that I can use methods not approved by these companies that will make the defective parts last even longer than their original manufacturing would allow for.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. After working for many other service companies and being under policy that required me to be dishonest with my customers or to intentionally hold work up or charge for simple things that did not really warrant the price tendered.

I hold myself to a high standard of integrity in my work, my pricing, and my treatment of my customers

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. Link to the full repair: http://www.theneighborhoodnerd.net/syncmaster-305-gateway-xhd3000-enhanced-cooling-mod/

This repair was a modification on a repair I'd done a few times in the past to fix a garbled video issue with the Samsung Syncmaster 305T and the Gateway XHD3000
