FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to become a recording/mixing engineer after I started recording my own music, as well my friends' music, and completely fell in love with the process of recording. I felt inspired by the challenge of figuring out how to get the best results out of any recording or mixing session.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The service that I most often provide for my clients is on location/mobile recording. To perform this service I bring my portable recording equipment to wherever the client feels most comfortable recording; be it a practice space, home, church or classroom. With my equipment I am capable of digitally capturing as many as 28 different sources simultaneously. After each recording session i provide the client with a CD containing stereo mixes of their recorded material. Raw, individual audio files can also be provided upon request. The second service that I often provide for my clients is mixing. I mix in a room that has been properly acoustically treated where clients are more than welcome to attend mixing sessions of their music. For mixing I use a combination of high quality digital audio plugins and analog processors, as well as excellent studio monitors made by Neumann and Equator Audio. The third service that I provide for my clients is recording live concerts. This is quite a different process than studio recording but can yield amazing results.
