Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. I have experience in performing civil, religious, and non-religious ceremonies. I have done weddings in large elegant venues, intimate backyard ceremonies, churches, prisons, outdoor venues. You will find me a comfortable fit for any setting and all styles of ceremonies.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. When looking for an officiate for your wedding, talk to several in person. Make sure that the person you decide to perform your wedding is personable and will compliment what you envision your wedding to be.
You can re-do it! Make sure the officiate is right for your personalities and your style.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. A good wedding officiate cares about the couples he is marrying. To treat it as a "job" is losing all of the feeling needed to give the ceremony the personal touch.
A good officiate is also organized, reliable, experienced and comfortable in front of people. But most importantly, he or she CARES.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. You need to talk in person so that you can see face to face if you like the person's demeanor.
You need to know what the provider expects you to do as your part of the service.
How many times will you talk and meet?
What is the deposit expected? What are the rates? Do the rates vary by the type of ceremony provided? Such as: no rehearsal needed, ceremony in prison, small wedding vs large wedding, etc.
