Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. When hiring a photographer for your wedding it is very important that you hire someone who has the skills and experience to document your special day. Weddings only happen once and there are no do overs - in my opinion, hiring an outstanding photographer for your wedding is one of the most important decisions you will be making with regards to your wedding vendors. Choose wisely, after the wedding is over, the food is eaten, the flowers are wilting, the band is off to another gig, but your wedding photos should last forever.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. John approaches photography from a photojournalistic background and works to capture moments rather than create scenes that didn't exist.

Capturing real moments gives John's photography an authentic feel of the events that actually occured. Real people deserve real moments - visit John's website to view a selection of his wedding photos as well as images from his career as a photojournalist.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love meeting new people and visiting new places.

Weddings are fun events with a tremendous amount of of emotion and wonderful memories. I love being able to capture these memories for couples to have as family heirlooms that will be past on from generation to generation. I gives me tremendous joy to deliver my photos to my wedding clients and to have them tell me they didn't even remember that happening - then I know I have done my job.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. From 2005 until 2007 John was the official photographer for Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. John traveled throughout California and made trips around the United States as well as to Israel, Jordan, China and Mexico documenting the activities of the governor and First Lady Maria Shriver

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. John regularly attends seminars as well as reading magazines and web sites about photography and photographic techniques. Photography is one of those professions where you never stop learning. Working as a professional photographer for over 20 years I am constantly learning and will hang up my cameras when I stop learning.

John is also a member of the Professional Photographers of American and an award winning member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association.
