Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. While we are firm believers that there is much to be said about certifications and awards, they are a great show of dedication and commitment - do they really get the job done? A Realtors name can be followed by a slew of "accolades" on their business card, but does that necessarily mean that they have true experience? Talk with your prospective Realtor, really talk to them - what is their experience? What challenges have they been faced with in a transaction, and how were they able to overcome them? A Realtor can have all the "books smarts" in the world, but with so many kinks, curves, turns, and "unexpecteds" that can pop up in any transaction it becomes experience, tenure, character, and tenacity that can and will get the job done! When all of these traits mix with ethical duty and fiduciary, you have yourself a true "winning" Realtor!
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. At Pacific Coast Properties we believe that every customer deserves outstanding full-service; we strive to provide nothing less. Each client is treated with the utmost ethical and honest service; each client IS our top priority. This is how we not only earn repeat business and referrals, but build long-lasting relationships with every seller, buyer, renter, and investors that we have the privilege of serving. The highest level of fiduciary is above all else, and will always remain, our benchmark for excellent service!
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. The satisfaction of serving our clients. This includes getting to know them, their families, and their needs. We enjoy educating them on this process, exploring their options with them, and assisting them in making one of the most important decisions and biggest purchases of their lives. The best part is sharing in their excitement when we hand them the keys to their new home! That's when we know we have done our job, and done it well.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Is it better to buy or rent? This question can really only be answered on a case-by-case basis, however we all know that there are definite, real tax advantages to owning that should be considered.
Why should I use a Realtor to buy/sell my property? The more important question is, "Why wouldn't you?" With so many ongoing changes in the real estate market and with real estate laws, why would you expose yourself to so much liability by not hiring a seasoned professional who does this day in and day out? It is not as simple as putting a sign up, holding an open house or two, or (in a buyers case) showing a handful of properties and writing an offer. The "meat" what we do is the negotiations, the contracts, the inspections, and the escrow. By hiring a seasoned, highly experienced Realtor you are protecting yourself from so many liabilities that could arise. So, if your intention is to save a buck by DYI'ing your transaction, think for a minute on a much larger scale -- are you really saving, or are you opening yourself up to a loss of thousands more down the road?
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. Go for it! Roll your sleeves up, jump in with both feet, be that sponge that soaks up every bit of learning and information, then challenge yourself every chance you get. You will amazed at what you are capable of!
Q. What is your greatest strength?
A. Listening and understanding. If your Realtor is not listening to you, or does not fully understand your needs or concerns, you should cut your losses. We work with clients who have extremely detailed needs and/or concerns and always find solution by simply listening to them, discussing their needs and/or concerns, and walking them through the process of how to overcome challenges in home buying or selling. It's a wonderful process of showing them how they can work through difficulties in order to accomplish the goal of home ownership that we have set for them, together!
