FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Tutor Doctor provides excellent value & quality, so pricing is almost never a concern for people who contact us looking for the right tutor for their student. We prefer families contact us regarding our service pricing. We have a standard pricing model for each level of service, and service levels are recommended based the individual student's needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Parents or students typically call or e-mail us to discuss the student's needs. We have an initial telephone conversation to gain a general understanding of the need & to provide ballpark pricing. Then we usually schedule a no-cost consultation meeting to meet the student & parent(s), and to obtain more information to make our best recommendation & price quote. The consultation meeting typically requires about 1 hour, or sometimes a little more time if the family has important questions they want to discuss. It's something extra we do to provide the best education support possible, and to personalize our service of the student & family.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our tutors have a very wide & deep range of education, training, experience, and interests. This permits us to customize the match of the tutor with the student, so the education experience will be as solid as possible. My office team has training sessions on a wide range of topics every week, so we stay current on education, business practices, and everything needed to help us meet the wide range of student needs throughout San Diego County.
