Alison practices a 5,000-year old medicine that diagnoses each person based on his or her constitution, and treats the person, not the disease. Her purpose is to help patients lead a healthier life without pain or the dependency of drugs. Her thorough training and personal experience helped her develop an acute sensitivity to the flow of Qi (energy) throughout the body. This sensitivity contributes to a more precise diagnosis of any imbalance that may be present, thus ensuring the most effective treatment. Alison graduated with honors in Biology from U.C.S.B. and received her Master's in Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She specializes in harmonizing the flow of energy in the mind, body and spirit through the use of acupuncture, energy work, aromatherapy and other ancient modalities. Her fields of expertise include: acupuncture, herbal medicine, aromatherapy, neuromuscular re-education, and breathing and relaxation techniques. She focuses on treating stress-related illnesses such as: sinus/allergy problems, back and neck pain, arthritis, and emotional stress-related symptoms like insomnia. She lectures on various health and wellness topics throughout San Diego.
