I'm a well-known jazz and Latin pianist/synth/organ and keyboardist in San Diego, mainly known as a performer and teacher with 8 current students.

Watch me on YouTube, teaching my 12-year-old student, Maxim Zaslovsky, and/or playing with Jack Costanzo at Adams Ave. Street Fair.

I work weekly, playing jazz with my friends, and I frequently play at Dizzy's on double keyboards with my own group, ESP Quintet. We played there recently. I'll be back there with Gary LeFebvre, Joe Marillo, Bill Andrews and Brett Sanders. They're a good company, and dare I say great-musicians!

I also grew up playing New Orleans Prof. Longhair-influenced piano and have a cookin' funky-seasonal group with the great focused Cuban, New Orleans funk and Brazilian drummer, Mark Lamson, called Tchopoutoulis St.

My quartet — with AC bassist, Evona Wascinski; reeds, gtr, pcsnist, Dave Millard; and young drum lion, Fernando Gomez — has played great mixed Latin jazz at Turquoise Cafe Europa in North Pacific Beach/South La Jolla area for the last 4 years (3 with me).

I'm known for my previous collaborations with the following:

* Hollis Gentry's Neon
* Reggie Smith and Pressed for Time
* Jack Costanzo and the Latin Connection Orchestra in his last 2 CDs, “Scorchin' the Skins” and “Back from Havana”
* Gilbert Castellanos (Unido and the Latin Trumpet Summit live at City College)
* Bill Caballero (eSo eS Orchestra and the Bi-National Mambo Orchestra)
* Steve Feierabend (piano on 4 tracks, is “Bop Mambo” CD)
* Glen Fisher's Con Alma (1st CD) and the Gomango Invasion (1st CD)
* the very funky Burl Jives (circa '99)
* Blue Rockit with dmr
* Barry Farrar, and blues harpist, Rafael Mark (also the late '90s)
* Los Travelers led by Sergio Carlos Vasquez (early '90s)
* Jaime Valle and Equinox ('92–'94)
* the Naked Funk' with Ed Fletcher ('08 — featuring Lige Curry bassist with Geo. Clinton's Parliament/Funkadelic)
* the 10-piece little big band, Big Time Operator, with Warren Lovell (10-year history)

I have also collaborated with many great singers such as the following, to name a few:

* Ella Ruth Piggee
* Barbara Morrison
* Marguerita Page
* CC Johnson
* Warren Weebie
* Amber Whitlock
* Janice Edwards
* Coral Thuet

I've played on 15 local CD projects, including trombonist Dave Scott (tracks with me on keys from his CDs are played on the weekly Channel 9 news as background music for meteorologist John Coleman's segments), and saxophonist Bill Shreeve, and with the great drummer/leader Russell Bizzett (with the Tuesday night Anthology house band) and his better half, vocalist Carla Bizzett, working on her current CD.

People love my work because I'm a well-dressed, on-time, and highly professional pianist/keyboardist who brings great group skills and a personable, relaxed style to every performance. I'm a pro with a great attitude.
