Introduction: As a child I had a lot of wonderful experiences with food, cooking and having meals together. While growing up in the Dutch countryside, my mother and I would go to the local bee keeper for raw honey and every week to the market to buy fresh fish. I also spend 9 months in Florence, Italy. Tasting so many wonderful dishes and strolling over the Mercato Centrale, the local every day market. After moving to California I learned about the wonderful ingredients this climate has to offer. Citrus and avocado trees everywhere, beautiful temperatures for outdoor dinners with friends. You can trace all these experiences back into the food I create. Colorful, flavorful, beautiful dishes with fresh ingredients. I like every aspect of my job. Using my creativity by creating a custom menu, I enjoy the contact with the costumer and of course shopping for, preparing and cooking the food.

Janneke just catered an event at my house on Saturday and besides the food being unbelievably delicious (it was all gobbled up by the end!)....what I appreciated most about the service is that she supplied all of the platters, baskets and plates so that the presentation was gorgeous and impressive. Better yet - I didn't have to do anything! Janneke showed up 1 1/2 hours before the event and made the final preparations on the food (so fresh!) and walla...a party was ready to be had! Thank you Janneke!

You will love working with Janneke! She catered a large bridal shower luncheon and a baby shower for me and the food at both events was delicious and beautifully presented. Janneke is very creative and she designed menus that had a variety of tastes and flavors. She uses her own serving pieces and can coordinate with the kind of event you are planning. All the ingredients are fresh and delicious. For the baby shower she created a variety of hor d'oeuvres that were bite sized and easy to eat without silverware, and all the guests raved about the food. She makes it easy for you to enjoy your own party. I can't wait to plan another event with her help.

She catered our board retreat on Sunday. All the guests raved. The presentation was incredible but the food stopped the show. I wish our content got raves as good as her food did. Will definitely be calling Janneke again.

We hired Janneke to cater a going away party for us right before we moved. She was super helpful in the planning stages and made suggestions as we tried to figure out what to serve that was within our budget. The day of, she arrived early to set up and also took care of the clean up. She displayed everything so beautifully and the food was AMAZING! We had so many people talk about how tasty it was. It was such a hit! A great party, and Janneke played a huge role in that. We would hire her again for another event in a heartbeat. Thanks, Janneke! You have a true gift!
