Introduction: I enjoy interacting with my clientele personally and get to know who they are. I am there to prepare the most delicious and healthiest foods, but I also want to inspire those I work for to continue on this lifestyle/path even when I am not there. I also like to share my perspective on any questions or issues that the client(s) would like to know more about.

I have had the pleasure of experiencing Chef Mindy's macrobiotic and raw food dishes. She is very creative & intuitive. Her food is not only healthy & delectable, but it has beautiful eye appeal. She creates her own recipes & rarely tastes her own food while preparing it, yet the flavors are perfect. Mindy says, "I can do it by feel & I don't need measuring tools. You will learn a lot from her as I have. I highly recommend Chef MIndy and rate her a "TOP NOTCH" chef and educator.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

28 years ago I became vegan. I friend of mine gave me a book that was written by his aunt, called Recovery from Cancer, by Elaine Nussbaum. I had started to become open to change before that, but not in a drastic way. I read the book in one night, as it was a mind-blowing and riveting personal story of her journey from 4th stage terminal cancer that has spread throughout her body. The book details her story back too health and she did live 20 years cancer-free before passing. After reading the book, I gave up meat right away and became completely vegan in January 1991. After college I formally studied macrobiotics and then years later became a raw vegan and promote that lifestyle (but I still prepare cooked vegan foods).

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I am a vegan/macrobiotic/raw food chef and educator. Most of the time I'm simply preparing the food for the client. Sometimes they also want to learn to be able to make the dishes themselves. I also take people shopping to learn what foods are the best to buy and also assess there house, especially the kitchen to see what is needed or what is to be replaced or removed.
