After being charged with a DUI in August of 2013 in San Diego county, I had no idea where to even begin. The entire process seemed daunting and unmanageable to take on individually. I live in Orange County and wanted the best representation I could get to advocate for me in San Diego. I originally consulted the first attorney I found on Google who offered little help other than taking my $2500 and helping me plead guilty. After some research and a referral from a friend I thankfully ended up at the office of Kerry Washington and introduced to Stefano Molea. Immediately he took care of my DMV hearing, explained my options and generally calmed me down. This was already night and day difference from the original lawyer I had hired. This was my first and only DUI and he took the time to walk me through everything on the criminal and DMV side of my conviction. I had a 0.195 BAC and my hopes of getting it dismissed or lessened seemed like a long shot and was advised by my first lawyer to just plead guilty. Thankfully, Stefano immediately told me he saw an opportunity for us to fight my conviction and didn't want to just plead guilty. Over the next 6 months we had weekly communication and he was always a phone call away if I panicked or had any questions that came up. After months of back and forth with the prosecution, we were ready to file a motion to go before a judge. The prosecution finally took my claim seriously and Mr. Molea was able to get my conviction reduced to a wet reckless, less probation time and a considerably smaller fine. My experience with Mr. Molea was nothing short of amazing. He was understanding and fought for me every step of the way. Without hesitation I would recommend him to anyone I know facing criminal charges. He was relatable, explained the system in a way I could understand and kept me informed of the progress. In addition, everyone I spoke with at the office of Kerry Armstrong, from the initial consultation to the receptionist, provided five star service. They are truly professionals and the best!!
