- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No, I try to make this clear. I charge $80 for simple dresses, $15 an hour for other projects, and $200 for sewing wedding dresses.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of several Linkedin groups, Handmadeology and Arts and Crafts. I sew dresses and outfits for myself and my room mate. I read sewing books and look at fashion magazines.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I could see that reading, understanding and executing pattens was very easy for me. I wanted to know everything there is about sewing. I have an old friend who sews from the heart, making projects look right. I enjoy working with her. I've also worked with another friend who is excellent with upholstery.
