FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I discount for payment in advance for 10 hours (five sessions of two hours each), and I add a discount for students of any institution.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Within a half hour, which usually begins on the phone, I use my years of experience and can accurately determine the student's particular difficulties. I formulate a plan and put it in action right away. As we study, I continue to ask my student how they are doing. My goal is not to keep the student forever, but to give them the power, tools and ability to learn English just as I continue to do! English is hard; it's at least five languages. With conversational methods, my students learn, have fun and build on their skills from the first hour.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked with the accreditation board's workshops and with ICE/Student Exchange Visitor Information System director's course for many years. After selling my fully accredited ESL school, I now get to concentrate on tutoring. I am thinking about getting a master's or teaching credential.
