Type of services PMT provides:
1. visual inspection aided by new technology equipment in detecting fungal issues including moisture meters, hygrometers, humidity and temperature gauges, and wall cameras
2. analysis by a certified lab (if needed)
3. consultation with client regarding the findings of laboratory analysis and proper courses of action if a significant problem has been identified
PMT will conduct an initial, non-intrusive visual inspection of the home to determine if fungal contamination is present. Inspection involves identifying moisture and water intrusion problems, the leading causes of fungal contamination and mold growth. The inspection covers the interior and exterior areas of the house, including the roof, plumbing, HVAC system and sprinklers.
After completion of the inspection, the client receives a documented, pictorial, 16- to 20-page report with a checklist and recommendations. The report will state if testing is recommended.
Laboratory analysis is performed by PMT upon client’s approval. The analysis consists of air samples (spore traps) and surface samples (swabs, tape, bulk).
There are two typical tests: air sampling to compare the inside and outside of the house, and a swab sample collected from a visibly affected area.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Knowledge and Experience. Precision Mold Testing (PMT) is the direct result of Kenneth Okin’s work experiences serving the public as an Environmental Health and Safety Investigator at both the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Precision Mold Testing (PMT) has extensive experience in mold inspections having completed over 600 mold inspections since opening in 2003.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Working with the customer. Having now worked over 25 years serving the public sector, this job gives me the opportunity to educate a customer by providing information and recommendations to solve their mold issues.
