Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Don't think you're fancy enough to use an interior designer. I used to think I wasn't fancy enough to be an interior designer. I was wrong and respectfully, so are you. Everyone deserves a space that addresses their needs and fulfills their desires. I will shop from Ikea just as easily as Ethan Allan. You're in charge, nothing is finalized without your approval including furniture purchases, material finishes, even floor plans. It's your space, and I'm your designer! I graduated from the Design Institute in December 2012. I spent four years working on projects from commercial to residential and earned my BFA in interior design. I am also able to make interior architectural changes (closet move and wall change). I am able to produce CAD and other construction documents to assist contractors. An interior designer is not supposed to, by law, oversee contractors on your job, but we can introduce you to contractors and other professionals we've established a network with. My fee is typically $200.00 for a maximum 2-hour consultation. During the time we meet, I will measure your space and discuss your needs and desires. After this, I will prepare a floor plan using CAD (construction document for contractors and you), and work on materials and furnishings for your approval. After the initial meeting that $200.00 goes toward my overall fee. If you decide to go no further with my services, I keep the $200.00 Typically, I charge 15% of my client's budget. Depending on budget size, this can be negotiated. Are you ready to work with someone real and talented?
