- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started in high school coordinating events and have always had a huge passion for design and how that can affect how people live and interact. I had been working for a video production and branding/communications company coordinating video shoots, set design, etc. when the company suddenly shut down in 2014. I took this as a sign from the universe to go ahead and pursue my passion for design and event styling! Whether I was designing layouts for a furniture show at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago for vendors or creating an inviting beach house design, the same principles apply. Creating flow and visual appeal helps people feel comfortable and that's my favorite part of any type of design - a happy end user.

- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Hire someone you really click with right off the bat! I think connecting with someone naturally will inevitably lead to better results while working together.
