Over the past year Evelyn has been working with me to reach my goal of writing and speaking current, idiomatic French. She prepares interesting lessons based on topical events and gives extensive feedback. My lessons are conducted entirely in French which requires Evelyn to provide word definitions and explain cultural concepts in the target language. This has been very helpful for expanding vocabulary and mastering some of the current business as well as informal idioms. I highly recommend this thorough and well-prepared teacher!

Ms Harroch is an amazing French teacher who has helped me tremendously in improving my ability to communicate in French. I have taken private lessons with Evelyn to refresh my advanced conversational skills. Evelyn comes prepared to our session, and always make sure to take you out and over your comfort zone. She makes the session interesting by introducing reading material on different subjects, discussing them with open end questions, analyzing the grammar and applying lessons learned to your own individual situation. She makes learning fun and challenging at the same time!

I apply individual as well as group rates.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I read the French press every morning and listen to French radio on a daily basis. This allows me to be up to date on current affairs and use of evolving vocabulary. I teach much more than textbook French. I link the language to the culture which is why I travel to Paris twice a year. For students, I am in close contact with high school French teachers therefore know the program and can fill or surpass it depending on the students needs.
