FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I follow the continuing education program from the ICD that leads to Certifications, like the ones I hold in ADD/ADHD, Hoarding and as a Specialist in Chronic Disorganization. I also pursue a coaching training program that will allow me to work as an Organizer Coach in a 1 year time. I attend conferences yearly to stay up-to-date with the Professional Organizing Industry, meet colleagues, form partnerships with more experienced Professional Organizers and learn how I can better serve my clients. I attend both the NAPO and the ICD conferences annually. I am also fluent in 5 languages, have a great cultural understanding and that also allows me to better serve my clients.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
The Professional Organizing industry holds professionals coming from all walks of life and that includes my own journey in transforming a skill into a career. I started organizing professionally when a fellow mom from my kids school, on the verge of a family crisis due to her clutter, asked me for help. We spent many weeks purging and sorting everything that was in her basement, storage unit and in every corner of her home. I realized then that my skills acquired both personally and professionally were actually affecting her personal life in a very positive way. Thats when I decided to launch A Personal Organizer Professional Organizing Services.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Home Organizing Services from a small pantry to a full-home reorganizing project. Kitchen & Pantries, Garages, Closets - reorganizing, remodel, installation supervision, styling of your outfits, Home Offices and Small Business Offices. I offer assessments, DIY Organizing with a detailed Get Organized Report, hands-on organizing in the San Diego area and Virtual Organizing online for clients around the world. I have organized from full hoarded homes to single family homes and apartments and I strive for excellent relationships with my clients. Confidential, personal, non-judgmental and "get it done" are my words. I pursue a training as an Organizer Coach and I will integrate my coaching skills and Coaching sessions with the organizing service if my client desires.
