FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Personal injury, workers' comp, and most employment cases I take on a contingency fee basis. This means I only receive a fee if there is a settlement, judgment or award in your favor. Criminal and family matters I take on either a flat fee or hourly rate basis, depending on the situation. I try to work with my clients in order to come up with an affordable fee for these types of cases.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I start a case by conducting a phone interview to better understand the client's needs. If I believe I can assist you, I will typically follow-up with an email containing a fee agreement and notice of representation to be signed by the client. Once I have received these forms and any agreed upon retainer (retainer depends on type of case), I will begin working on your case.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of Thomas Jefferson School of Law here in San Diego, CA and I have been a practicing attorney for 20 years.
