  Pixster Photo Booths, based out of San Diego, CA, is Southern California's premiere photo booth rental company (http://www.pixsterphotobooth.com). Pixster has a history of going above and beyond the level of excellence in corporate social responsibility. This week Pixster announced its sponsorship and participation Phil’s Big BBQ in the Ballpark (http://www.sdbigs.org/site/c.8hKPI5MGIhI0E/b.6552087/k.2538/Phils_BIG_BBQ_at_the_Ballpark.htm), a fundraiser to benefit the Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego. Pixster Photo Booths believes that their community is their responsibility, and is actively living out this call to CSR locally and globally (http://www.pixsterphotobooth.com/#!about-pixster/ccol). Locally, Pixster has begun to contract with San Diego artisans to manufacture every photo booth as a way to support small local businesses. Although outsourcing the manufacturing would be much cheaper according to McLain Harvey, Operating Director and co-owner, "it just seemed like the right thing to do." From ensuring the wood used is sustainably grown to putting pressure on suppliers to use recycled and reclaimed materials when available, Pixster doesn’t take stewardship lightly. Pixster also compensates their photo booth attendants nearly 50% above the industry standard as a way to help provide them with a better quality of life. Fostering a corporate culture that empowers their people to, “use their brains to go above and beyond for clients” it is clear that Pixster values people over profit. In addition, Pixster Photo Booths donates to local charitable causes such as Brides for a Cause, the American Cancer Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters foundation, and many other local fundraisers in San Diego and Orange County. Globally, Pixster is affiliated with Compassion International. For every booth manufactured, a child in a developing country is fed, educated, and clothed (http://www.compassion.com/). To honor these children, the company names the photo booths themselves after them. Photo booth attendants don’t just pick-up booth number 6 or 7, but Fernando or Harold. McLain says, “we wanted to give our people a constant reminder that they are a part of something that is making a difference both locally and globally and hopefully inspire them to do the same in and out of work.” Pixster Photo Booths is clearly taking CSR to new levels and redefining what it means to give back to the community.
