"Just wanted to say many thanks for such a fantastic photography service you provided us on my mom’s 60th Birthday party. Your dedication, enthusiasm and professionalism were outstanding from the start of the party till the end. The pictures you took were Priceless! Those pictures will be cherished for a very long time.
We have worked with many photographers in the past and it was chaotic at times since we have such a large family. For you, it was different. You made the whole event very smooth and pleasurable for everyone. We all felt very relaxed and didn’t felt rushed. My family and I had such a wonderful experience working with you and we look forward in working with you again for future family parties." (Ricky Lieu)

Anjuli worked with us during th 2010 winegrape harvest at Hellanback Ranch Vineyards. She was great - taking hundreds of photographs of all aspects of the harvest. The photos were very good and she managed to catch lots of aspects of the harvest that never even occured to us. She's very easy to work with, and a talented photographer.

Anjuli is a passionate and dedicated friend, as well a business woman. She has taken photos for us on our vacations and they came out absolutely stunning. She truly knows how to capture a moment and helps make memories last forever.
I highly recommend Storybook Photography to anyone looking for a fun experience with irreplaceable photos from a hard-working, loving individual like Anjuli.

Anjuli spent a cold & difficult day with us on the boat, yet transformed the experience into a wonderful set of photos and a video that captured the energy & fun of wakesurfing. Here it is http://on.fb.me/dEdLx6
I look forward to including her on a future outing, and seeing how she captures and edits the material.

Anjuli has a definite eye for capturing the mood; the moment; and able to tell such a fantastic story from behind her own camera shutter 'eye'. She evokes a calming yet exciting mood within anyone as she captures their moments in time. She just has a natural motivation within people to express themselves or share pieces of their essence with her camera memories. There is a strong trust that she'll take your essence to the next level and carefully let it blossom safely and enthusiastically. She is a wonderful photographer and I highly recommend her for all occasions.

Anjuli is an excellent photographer. Moreover she is a conscientious and hard working young lady whose business ethics are superb. She not only delivers what her customer wants in the photos as agreed upon, but she appears to be able to read his mind to imprint his feelings also in the photos. This adds to her unique talent to capture beyond expectations in the photos taken by Anjuli.

I RARELY take the time to write a review, but want to with Storybook Photography. My family is overwhelmed with how well Anjuli captured the "moment" in our faces during her shoots. Even our dog Skippy looked great Their prices are competitive, but I fely they were a good deal because she seemed to have that it factor to deliver a good product. I was right!

Anjuli is a great friend of mine. She is kind, communicative, creative and has a knack for getting along with just about any person. It's really an amazing talent. It's as if she melds her self to other people's personalities. When I explain to her what I'm looking for in a photo, or anything for that matter, she immediately grasps the concept, and the builds upon it! I think her photography is not only amazing, but also inspiring.
Might I also add, she LOVES BABIES!!! She can't get enough of them. Every time we get together, she talks about babies and how much she loves them. My goodness! So, obviously, this translates to her photography. She even used to work as a volunteer Cuddler in the NICU for newborns. So I tell my friends sometimes that she is the "professional" baby cuddler! She even has all of the equipment necessary for a baby photo session at all times in the trunk of her SUV... blankets, bonnets, wicker baskets.
This photographer, with her keen eye for beauty, also used to be a professional model. She is good! Sometimes these days she coaches other models for her photographer friends. She loves being behind the camera now because of her years spent in front of the camera. I love to boast that my special friend, Anjuli, is also a professional model. I love this young woman; a friend whom I admire and one who has many wonderful talents.

From group shots of smiling coworkers, to wondrous close-ups of the day-to-day in all their detailed self, Anjuli's work through Storybook Photography has a knack of capturing the moments that build the memories we keep of happy times. I have been privy to her work running the gamut from holiday parties, active shoots, glamour, and still life close ups of breathtaking beauty, and it has always delivered. As the official photographer for my company, Anjuli has produced photo series for the holiday parties and other office events, always ready to pounce on the perfect shot while not getting in the way of people mingling and having fun. I've also seen her get some great photos in a fashion/active shoot, jumping into the water when necessary to catch the perfect angle. She is devoted to her work, and a talented artist, and her swift and sure hand with both camera and photo editing ensure her subjects shine in the best possible light. Two big thumbs up!

Anjuli has been a beautiful presence on two video production sets that I've had the pleasure of working on. Both as model and still photographer, she shined in each capacity. As a model she really opened up to the camera and was able to give us a 5-star performance that other girls might have been too shy for. As a still photographer, I can trust that she's getting the action on set and we'll have quality shots of our production as it's happening. Thanks Anjuli for being so awesome! Best of luck to you in all your endeavors!

Really happy that my husband and I decided to work with Anjuli. There are so many photographers out there, so it's really hard to choose which one. She's artistic, energetic, professional, patient and affordable. =) I'm on the shy side and Anjuli helped bring me out of my shell and her words of encouragement helped me find the confidence to be my goofy self.
Anjuli made us feel comfortable and helped us create memories that we will cherish forever in our hearts. I could not be any happier with the work that she did for us. I want her to do all our future photo shoots!

Anjuli is a passionate, organized, and creative professional. It was both a pleasure and an honor to be selected to photograph her as she worked. She has a love for working with children and families that allows her to focus on creativity and originality when composing her photos.
As a fellow photographer, I understand the challenges in capturing that special moment in a photo session that stands out above the rest and Anjuli has a knack and a dilligence for making sure her clients are completely satisfied.
She is truly an inpsiring breath of fresh air and I am fortunate to have met and worked with her on this project. I look forward to being a part of other projects with her in the future.

Anjuli at Storybook Photography is an excellent photographer who is very good at engaging and bringing out the personality of your child. She is very patient and takes the time to connect with each child in order to capture the essence of the child and their various personalities on camera. Highly recommend trying out Storybook Photography!
Anjuli: my daughter asked about you yesterday and when I showed her the photos you sent just now she got all excited and asked me if I remembered the beach when the photos were taken. :) She wanted to see the photos over and over again. And she said she wants to go to the beach again to take more pictures. :) She remembers you too and asks where you are. These are great to show my husband later after his birthday's over and when I share with him what we did. :) Thanks for sending these over. It made me smile!

A friend recently introduced me to Storybook Photography and Anjuli (who runs the business). For some time, I wanted photographs of my Golden Retriever (Spinnaker) and my sailboat. Anjuli and I spoke on the phone and she was so pleasant and warm, and we negotiated and found a very reasonable and fair price. We scheduled to meet for a shoot the next Saturday -- and when the day came, she called me that morning to offer to re-schedule since the weather in San Diego wasn't nice. We decided to go take some pictures even with the clouds, and she was just so warm and professional. My dog is a pretty good judge of character as well! She had him sitting and staying (longer than I can!). In any case, she took lots of pictures and they came out great. Even though I was happy and pleased, she said that she would come back the next weekend and take some pictures with the sun. She wanted the sunny pictures even more than I did. In any case, she came back the next weekend and was very gracious with her time. A week later, she and I met at Starbucks and she presented me with a beautiful photo album. Her selections were so well curated. I was extremely pleased with the entire engagement and I have already recommended her to friends with children. Anjuli is uniquely warm, gracious, responsible, and has a great eye.

Love Love Love! That's all I have to say about the photographer and the pictures we took with STORYBOOK PHOTOGRAPHY Anjuli is very warm and makes you feel very comfortable during the shoot. And, I must say, that she has an AMAZING knack with the BABIES! We did a newborn shoot and she kept my little guy as calm as could be and he slept thru the entire thing! Sometimes when he's fussy I think about calling her to come over and work her magic! =) Our pictures turned out beautifully...exactly what I was looking for! Anjuli is obviously passionate about her photography and has a great energy that shows in her work! TOP QUALITY photographer...and very accomodating, too! I was going to be out of town, so she expeditiously worked on our photos so I could have them within the week! Thanks again, Anjuli! So glad to have found Storybook Photography

I found Anjuli through Model Mayhem. I was looking for some different additions to my portfolio, and as I looked through hers, I knew she wasn't like every other photographer I have shot with. We emailed back and forth a few times and decided that since I have a 2 year old daughter, we'd do some "mommy daughter" shots. We scheduled a date and time, and ended up having to reschedule. But the day we rescheduled it to ended up being, of course, a gloomy day in San Diego. I didn't receive her email asking me if I'd like to wait until a sunny day until I got to where we were shooting at, but even so, she arrived on time where we had planned to meet since I had not responded. My daughter is pretty shy, but as soon as she met Anjuli, they instantly clicked. We spend a good couple hours shooting in different places around the U.S.S Midway. My daughter, being two, has quite a short attention span, but Anjuli was always on her toes, trying to get the next perfect shot. Even with the gloom, Anjuli got some amazing shots. She is very creative and has a great eye for what she is doing. I will most definitely recommend Storybook to my friends and family. She is one of the best photogs here in San Diego.

A. When I was a customer looking for photographers, years ago when I got married, I just wish, wish, wish I had known who the good photographers were around town. The photography company which did my wedding back in 2006 was one of the horror stories. Since I have gotten in to modeling, and now, photography, I have a wonderful network of resources in the photography industry. I know who to go to for advice (which I am never afraid to ask for!) and who I trust most for weddings, versus landscape versus event photography. I have photographed weddings before but my true love is families with children (no age limit) and especially babies... and most of all, I love, love, love newborn babies.
And so, to photography, I think the secret is just to know the right people. In terms of technique and the mechanics behind the trade, that all just takes practice and time. I do believe that one is either "born" with an artistic eye, or not. If I didn't have the instinctive knack for capturing a photo composition, I certainly would not have started this business.
I love photography. Do feel free to ask me any questions and I will be happy to answer away!
A. I create photo books: hard bound story books designed by me!
A. I love photography. I practically live and breathe it. I feel lucky to be able to do that which I love, and to capture beautiful moments in photographs. Please let me share my passion with you!
A. I usually get asked what part of England I am from! I am from Cambridge but I no longer have a British accent.
A. Absolutely. I am all about taking classes. I think it is very important to learn from fellow photographers... whether one has been in the business for two years or 20 years. Twenty years ago, we didn't have digital photography! Ten years ago, the public still didn't trust digital photography to be of adequate or sufficient quality, and still today, there are those that choose to develop their film in the real dark room. I think it is imperative to continue to learn, whether it is an online class, online research, chatting with fellow photographers, asking lots of questions, or taking an accredited course. Continuing to learn and master new techniques and new technologies is what its' all about. As a business owner, one needs to know how to market onself. Knowing the technology behind the camera is really the story to success as a photographer.
