I am always taking classes to learn new techniques, new color schemes/pairings and continuously reading the fashion blogs.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love people. I love weddings and my friends were always asking me to do their wedding party make up and hair. I went to school for it and turned my passion into a business.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Go with your gut. And definitely do not look for cheaper is better for a really great MUA who has been doing this for years avg rates is $75/hr. And no free run thru. Some will throw in as a courtesy some people want to get paid for both trial and day of as it is quite an amount of work.
