My boyfriend and I were looking for a photographer to take our Christmas photos, and a friend recommended KJ. I contacted KJ through Facebook and he got back to me within 24 hours. Even through email, he gives off a great and positive energy. I wasn't sure where we wanted to take our photos, so he felt me out by giving me a lot of choices, and we narrowed it down through a process of elimination and just overall telling him what I wanted and didn't want. We decided on Hotel del Coronado! We spent 2 hours taking photos. He was very patient with us and with our non-cooperative dog. He doesn't show you the photos as you are taking them, so you don't have a clue as to how they are looking, but after seeing the photos, I was really impressed and amazed at how awesome they turned out! I'm glad he didn't show us, it was really exiciting when he came over to present the finshed products to us. I think what impressed me the most about KJ is his work ethic. Even after taking the photos, he was prompt and presented us with the finished product in a timely manner. He came over to show us the photos and took the time to answer all of our questions. I feel like too many people these days don't finish strong, but he really did. He takes pride in his work and once you see the photos, you will be able to see the great visions that he had while you were out there shooting. If you are looking for a soothing yet passionate photographer, KJ is the one!

We hired Kreisly for 2 projects: our Save the Dates photos and photos of our nieces/nephews/friends' kids for a unique table number idea. He really listens to your ideas and will do research to ensure he understands your ideas. He's very patient, and gives clear directions. He captured our dogs perfectly for our Save the Dates. Everyone raved about how adorable they turned out. As for the unique table number idea, I had a vintage-style photo in mind. He did his research to see what style I was leaning towards. He was very patient when it came to directing 15 children for the photo shoot and ensuring all were captured. During his editing process, he would send samples to see if they were heading in the direction I wanted. I was very appreciative with his constant communication, and the updates. He also provided excellent feedback when I had questions about certain idea. In the end, the photos turned out WONDERFUL. It was exactly what I had in mind. I can't thank him enough for all the excellent service and beautiful photos that we will treasure for years to come.

KJ was wonderful in photographing my daughter. She was graduating and she wanted this. He was very professional, timely, gentle, and knew how to make my daughter comfortable. Very high quality pictures. people that visit the house always compliment the picture hanging on the wall. he's truly amazing.

I would like to give my highest recommendation to KJ Condalor for providing his photographic skills at the Walk to Cure Psoriasis in SD. With an event that has many moving parts and hundreds of people, he was everywhere capturing the action and people. He took the initiative to check out the site and meet with us in advance and his enthusiasm was wonderful.

I had other photographers before when my other child was a newborn, but I'm glad I found kj for my latest. he's extremely detailed, organized, and you felt his helping hand. his customer service is top notch. his talent is amazing! I was blown away by the CD casing. it looks like a case from a Hollywood movie! well designed and thought out. did I mention it was wrapped too like the DVDs you would buy?? very happy camper here. thanks again for everything KJ!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With a new client, the immediate goal is to get a better sense of who they are. Specifically, get a better sense of what they like and dislike. Art is very subjective. For this reason, it is our goal to identify what characteristics clients are drawn to and what characteristics clients back away from. Once we get a preview of their viewpoint, we then tailor our images to include the characteristics they love and minimize the characteristics they least love. We can't highlight enough the importance of getting to know our clients. That is why we prefer having the first conversation with our clients to be thorough, engaging, and informative.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I graduated from UCSD and I worked in the financial industry. Being in the field gave me clarity in that I want to build something tangible that I can proud to call my own. They say simply, "do what you love." I love photography. I love seeing the moment people see themselves in my work and are filled with overwhelming joy. That is how I got into starting my photography business.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
An advice I have for customers looking for a photographer is to make sure they have an adequate foundation in lighting, posing, and post-processing. Photographers who just should aimlessly are not true photographers, but people with expensive cameras. Photographers are coaches, who will guide you to look your most confident self.
