Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Don't go with the cheapest bid. The old adage, "You get what you pay for" comes into play in a big way in this trade. Even the slightest flaws will become a focal point if you choose to go cheap. Who can afford to redo such a big job once it's done?
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Hire American craftsmen. The US has dramatically higher standards than the rest of the world. If you choose to go with a cheap laborer that says they know the trade, chances are they're practicing on your house or were taught by craftsmen without the proper tools which will translate on your job. Tile is a very detail oriented trade that is hard to replace and repair once it's been done.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Ask if the craftsman guarantees they're work. If you find someone you feel is trust worthy ask how they feel about the tile you've selected. Sometimes a great design isn't the most practical.
