Introduction: Since I am a classically trained vocalist specializing in contemporary repertoire, I bring a fresh perspective to the table. I also have extensive performance experience in a variety of arenas and the ability to relate to students focusing on a number of different genres. I had a full student roster in the San Diego area prior to relocation and had great relationships with all of the students and families I worked with. I truly love getting to know each student and am very passionate about helping my students realize their potential and see progress throughout the course of their study. I have recently relocated to the greater Boston area and look forward to taking on new challenges and building new student relationships here. I can't wait to hear from you! I love connecting with my students, establishing relationships with them and seeing how they grow and flourish. Singing is such a personal endeavor and it's really special to be able to be a part of someone's musical journey. I really enjoy "watching the lightbulb go on" in lessons, watching students overcome challenges in performance, and all the other milestones we pass together.

Amelia is a patient vocal coach and a great teacher. She does a great job with students who are beginners (my situation), and I sense that she would also do great helping people who are good singers who want to become great singers. She has the perfect demeanor for a teaching environment. I recommend her to others. She is very understanding that her students sometimes have other commitments. Her flexibility with scheduling is very appreciated.

Pricing is dependent upon travel time and lesson length so it can vary. Please feel free to contact me for a customized quote!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For a first lesson, my number one goal is just to get the student singing and expanding their comfort zone. First lessons are the time we get to get to know one another and establish the foundation for future lessons so I like to make it fun, but also start building confidence right away by getting the student singing right off the bat and reinforcing the positives I see while also pointing out areas of opportunity.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BM in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music with a concentration in vocal performance and music business management. I have also been an active performing professional for over 10 years now.
