As a classically trained vocalist and graduate of Berklee College of Music, I specialize in utilizing contemporary repertoire as a vehicle for teaching solid technique. Depending on the individual goals of the student, lessons can consist of any combination of the following: technique, music theory, sight reading, vocal workouts, diction, interpretation, stage presence, leading a band, etc.

Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Since I am a classically trained vocalist specializing in contemporary repertoire, I bring a fresh perspective to the table. I also have extensive performance experience in a variety of arenas and the ability to relate to students focusing on a number of different genres.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I really enjoy working with a variety of individuals and becoming familiar with each of their strengths and weaknesses, and then being able to see tangible results as they progress.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Customers often ask about my own experience as a musician. I generally tell them a bit about my experience getting my degree at Berklee College of Music, and then about my time working as a professional musician since my graduation. I also give more detail about my personal style and how I developed it over the years, and how my goal with my students is to facilitate their development of their own voice as well.
